| PHOENIX, AZ – The National Association for Information Destruction, Inc., (NAID), the 9-year-old, non-profit trade association of the information destruction industry, elected several new members to its Board of Directors during it annual membership conference held recently in Scottsdale, AZ.
Willie Geiser of Allshred Services, based in Toledo, OH, was elected president of the trade organization. Mr. Geiser’s ascendancy to the office caps many years of involvement with the association in key positions as both chairperson of several committees and in various Board positions. He has served terms as the Board vice-president, as a Board member, and as the government relations committee chairperson. According to Bob Johnson, executive director of NAID, “Our industry is growing rapidly, both in the number of companies providing document destruction service and in the importance of the service to the business community. NAID has developed a certification program that, for the first time, will provide some service and security standards that the business community can use to choose a reliable, ethical vendor. Mr. Geiser will provide excellent leadership as NAID strives to further develop our certification program and the industry in general.” Geiser is the president of Allshred Services, a 13-year old company that services over 1,200 clients in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana. Allshred services a variety of clients, ranging from various Federal and State agencies, banks, insurance companies, and hospitals and other medical institutions. Johnson added, “Mr. Geiser has built Allshred into one of the most respected companies in the industry and his abilities will be a big asset as we continue to grow and build and refine our organization.” Geiser is also on the boards of the Toledo chapter’s of the American Society for Industrial Security, and the Association of Records Managers and Administrators. NAID’s stated mission is to educate business and government of the need for the secure destruction of discarded personal and competitive information. With approximately 220 member companies across the country, all of whom are dedicated to providing high-security information destruction services, it now stands as the bastion of ethics and integrity in the otherwise unregulated industry. |
